Deluxe Reverb to Blackface continues

Here are some more pictures of the Fender Deluxe Reverb we are fixing up for a customer from Ohio. Now that the old components and have been completely removed, we can clean the chassis and prepare it to be completely rewired from scratch. At this time, we clean everything including all of the tube sockets. The original Fender fiber board / eyelet board seems to have taken on quite a bit of moisture (which can cause problems down the road), so one of the steps we do before starting wiring is to bake the moisture out of the board in an oven.

Deluxe Reverb Teardown

This is a Silverface Deluxe Reverb from Toledo Ohio that has come in with a bunch of problems from a botched blackface conversion. All of the wiring was melted by a sloppy soldering iron job, so we are going to be tearing this thing apart completely and starting from scratch. The rear of the baffle has a bunch of mysterious drill-holes so we will be filling those and repainting the baffle, cleaning all of the pots jacks and sockets, adding a longer 3-prong plug, tweaking the tremolo and any other fixes or improvements that come up.
